It was an opening week to forget for the Belleville Senators as they managed to win just one of their first four matches.
Kicking off the season on the road, the BSens faced off against a tough Laval team filled with experienced AHLers and solid prospects. In the season opener, Belleville dropped game one with a score of 6-2. The only goal scorers were Rourke Chartier and Matthew Wedman - two players who aren’t expected to produce but were the only ones to show up. Lassi Thomson managed three assists and looked strong on the point, but besides that there was a lot of rust to shake off for the BSens.
