Don’t blame Jeremy Roenick for being ignorant.
He was simply responding to a question from an ignorant broadcaster in Toronto.
He answered passionately, because of his love for the NHL and the game of hockey, but he was led astray.
As a guest on Fan 590 Thursday, Roenick was probed for his reaction to Game 3 at Canadian Tire Centre between the Senators and Penguins not being sold out.
Of course the game actually was sold out, but don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.
“Don’t get me going,” said Roenick, who played for the Hull Olympiques during the 1988-89 season before embarking on an illustrious, 1363-game NHL career.
