If this is indeed Dan Boyle's final season in the NHL, he certainly left a lasting memory in his hometown.
The 39-year old Rangers defenceman scored the shootout winner at Canadian Tire Centre with his brother and "10 or 12" of his friends in attendance.
"There's not too many more times I might be playing here, so it was nice to give them a little reward," said Boyle, whose parents are in Florida. "More importantly, I think, (to) reward the team and the coach for working hard and playing hard and getting the two and not leaving a point out there.
