Some numbers, the Senators liked Saturday night at Canadian Tire Centre.
For most of their game against the Washington Capitals, they held a decided edge in shots. At one point, they were up 20-9. This would have pleased coach Guy Boucher, who rarely fails to report the shot count to reporters after a game.
The Senators also would have liked the number 18,665 flashed up on the scoreboard just before the midway mark of the third. That was the attendance, representing just the second sellout of the season.
The numbers that should have really had them worried was the one Washington put on the board they could not match and the four that it extended their losing streak to in Game No.
