The Senators have just two more games before Jan. 3 and Craig Anderson is currently scheduled to play only one of them.
The fact they are back-to-backs tilt Tuesday in Boston and Wednesday at home against New Jersey is factoring into the decision left for coach Dave Cameron, who Monday said he hadn't decided whether to use Anderson or Andrew Hammond against the Bruins.
"Right now the plan would be I'll split them, the next two," said Cameron. "I'm just not sure which way."
Anderson passed on the Senators "optional" practice Monday, and with all the rubber he has seen this season, it was understandable.
