Anderson returns in goal

Craig Anderson made his return to the Ottawa Senators’ net Saturday night.

Perhaps, coach Guy Boucher was just trying to catch everybody off-guard.

There was no shortage of twists and turns during Saturday’s morning skate before Anderson, the club’s No. 1 goalie, returned to action against the Montreal Canadiens at Canadian Tire Centre from an undisclosed ailment that forced him to miss visits by the Tampa Bay Lightning and Chicago Blackhawks.

While Anderson had been at the customary starter’s end of the ice for the skate, backup Mike Condon was first off the ice. After having a long chat with goalie coach Pierre Groulx, it didn’t take long for Anderson to follow suit.
