Alexandre Burrows is a good, gritty addition to a Senators team that was painfully short of forwards whom opponents loathed playing against.
Especially with Chris Neil injured and his role declining.
They are both past their 35th birthdays and both leaders who wear an ‘A’, but they not nearly the same type of player, of course. Even Neil would tell you Burrows is considerably more talented. He’s also dirtier, although speaking to reporters in Vancouver after the trade, Burrows preferred to use the words “passion” and “intensity” when asked what he’ll be bringing to Ottawa besides his wife and three young kids.
