LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- Dean Lombardi, the president and general manager of the Los Angeles Kings, will serve as the general manager for the United States entry in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
Under Lombardi the Kings have won the Stanley Cup twice in the past four years and have been in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in every season but one since 2009.
He has been involved in NHL management for four decades, serving in various roles with the Philadelphia Flyers, San Jose Sharks and Minnesota North Stars.
