Dallas Stars goaltender Jussi Rynnas was placed on unconditional waivers Thursday, according to the team.
Rynnas made two appearances with the Stars this season, including one start, a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Dec. 4. He went 22-6-8 in 39 games for the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League with a 2.53 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.
Rynnas, 28, has played in five NHL games over parts of three seasons for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Stars, going 0-2-0 with a 4.17 GAA and .
