Matthew Dellavedova has made quite a name for himself during this year’s NBA playoffs. Now, it appears, his hometown in Australia is going to show him some love.
Mark Johnson, CEO of Central Goldfield Shire, indicated to 3AW radio in Australia efforts will be made to rename the stadium Dellavedova used to play in after the Cavaliers guard.
“That’s where Matt Dellavedova learned his craft and the Maryborough Basketball Association have suggested that the stadium, which is a two-court stadium, ought to be renamed after Matthew,” Johnson told 3AW Breakfast.
“He’s certainly put Maryborough on the world map, it’s just fantastic.
