DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Bubby Riley hit a grand slam and North Carolina State scored eight runs in the eighth inning for a 10-2 victory over Virginia on Saturday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
The sixth-seeded Wolfpack (34-20) had already clinched a spot opposite fourth-seeded Florida State in Sunday's championship game before they beat the seventh-seeded Cavaliers (34-22) to complete a 3-0 sweep through pool play.
Riley finished with five RBIs, and his homer highlighted the Wolfpack's big inning.
Andrew Knizner broke a 2-all tie with a two-run double in the eighth and, after an intentional walk to Preston Palmeiro, he came around to score on Joe Dunand's double.
