Paul Azinger calls Tiger Woods a ‘middle-of-the-pack hack’ at British Open

Just like he did at the U.S. Open, Tiger Woods may have managed to play his way out of contention in the first round of the British Open on Thursday. And golf analyst Paul Azinger let him have it.

After Woods posted a 4-over 40 on the front nine, Azinger referred to him as a “hack.”

“It’s hard to watch the greatest player of this generation be a middle-of-the-pack hack,” he said, per Luke Kerr-Dineen of USA Today. “Here’s a stat for you: Tiger Woods is 21 over par for his last 45 holes at major championships.
