The Pac-12 teams will use injury spotters during football games that will monitor teams with video technology and communicate with coaches and medical personnel.
The Pac-12 university presidents and chancellors approved the spotter system at the conference's summer meetings this weekend.
The league also announced Sunday each school will now have a student-athlete as part of its delegation at the Conference Council summer and fall meetings and voted to make women's sand volleyball a sponsored sport, effective 2015-16.
Injury spotters will have closely watch every play and have the ability to rewind, pause, zoom and change camera angles to evaluate players for possible injuries.
