Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler was held out of the first three weeks of New England Patriots OTAs as punishment for being late to the first day of practice last month.
The Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe reported Wednesday that Butler was late to the first practice on May 26 because of a flight issue. Butler planned to fly to Boston the day before OTAs but the flight was pushed back because of the weather. He arrived in Boston the next day but was late to the first practice.
Ben Volin of The Boston Globe says Butler finally was able to practice on Wednesday.
