LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Devin Hairston's sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning lifted Louisville to a 4-3 win over Michigan in the Louisville Regional on Saturday.
The Cardinals (45-16), the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, advanced to Sunday's regional championship game with the victory over the Wolverines (38-24).
Danny Rosenbaum, whose two-run homer in the seventh gave Louisville a 2-1 lead, led off the ninth with a single. Pinch-runner Colin Lyman moved to second on a groundout, stole third and scored when Michigan right fielder Johnny Slater made a diving catch in foul territory of Hairston's tailing line drive.
