Floyd Mayweather says Manny Pacquiao fights too recklessly

Floyd Mayweather Jr. believes that he has a mental advantage over Manny Pacquiao in the ring and also thinks the Filipino has a dangerous style that serves as a disadvantage.

Mayweather met with the media on Tuesday and talked about his opponent for his upcoming May 2 bout.

“He fought very, very recklessly in the Marquez fight,” Mayweather said via the AFP, referencing Pacquiao’s knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in Dec. 2012.

“I could have had the same type of career but my career wouldn’t have lasted this long.”

Mayweather is a defensive fighter who prides himself on his ability to avoid taking hits.
