There's no word yet on what the Cardinals would give up in return. Cishek lost his closer job earlier this season with the Marlins and was even sent down to the minors after posting a 6.98 ERA and 1.86 WHIP over 19 1/3 innings. He's rebounded since returning, though, with a 0.71 ERA and 11 strikeouts across 12 2/3 frames. Cishek will help set up for Trevor Rosenthal and offers protection in case Jordan Walden (biceps) doesn't return to form. He's making $6.65 million this season and is under team control through 2017.
