Danieal Manning spent nine years in the NFL, five with the Bears and the final four with the Texans. Last season, he appeared in 16 games and recorded 46 tackles. As it turns out, that will be his last action as a professional football player.
The 32-year-old announced the decision that he is hanging up the cleats and stepping away from the game during an appearance on SportsRadio 610 in Houston on Tuesday. Manning became an unrestricted free agent earlier this year. However, instead of continuing to play, he’s choosing to get a head start on a career teaching others the game.
