ARLINGTON, Va. - Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis says "I feel I haven't met my commitment" to Alex Ovechkin "that we would build a team that would be able to win Stanley Cups."
At a news conference Saturday during the team's development camp, Leonsis said the consistency his star forward has "brought is really historic" and that "he plays hard all the time."
The owner says that Ovechkin "knows we're committed. He can sense it and see it."
Leonsis warns: "Don't take Alex Ovechkin for granted."
