Cal fires recruiting coordinator Pierre Ingram after prostitution arrest

Cal fired assistant football coach Pierre Ingram on Friday, eight days after he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute.

“As you are aware, Assistant Football Coach Ingram was placed on paid administrative leave following his recent arrest for solicitation. We are not renewing his contract and he will no longer represent or act on behalf of this University in any capacity,” the school said in a statement.

The Contra Costa Times reported that police say Ingram “solicited an undercover officer online and then showed up April 16 at the Motel 6 on Embarcadero.
