Four charges have been filed against former New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes stemming from a hit-and-run incident involving his car earlier this month, Massachusetts State Police announced on Friday.
Spikes has been charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and a marked lanes violation.
“Spikes was speeding and driving negligently when he crashed his 2011 Maybach sedan into the back of a sport utility vehicle on Route 495 northbound in Foxboro,” state police said in a statement.
Police previously said that Spikes’ Mercedes was found with front-end damage along the side of a highway in Foxboro at roughly the same time a hit-and-run incident was reported.
