St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong will be the head of the management group for Canada for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, according to TSN.
Hockey Canada has scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. on Monday in Toronto to make the announcement.
Armstrong has been GM of the Blues since 2010. They have made the Stanley Cup Playoffs in four of his five seasons.
He also has worked as part of Canada's management group at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The 2016 World Cup will be played Sept.
