On Saturday, American Pharoah will seek to do what only 11 horses before him have done: Take home the Triple Crown.
One day before the Belmont Stakes, owner Ahmed Zayat said he is confident his colt can take home the elusive prize.
"I think he can. He will. He is ready. He is breathing fire," Zayat said on CNBC's "Squawk Box." ( Tweet This)
Zayat said American Pharoah is healthy and taking well to the track at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York.
"The most important thing after a very long campaign, after winning the Derby and the Preakness, is how they're carrying their weight, their condition," Zayat said.
