The jurors that rendered a guilty verdict in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial say that a controversial defense strategy by the former Patriots tight end’s attorneys backfired.
According to The Boston Globe, the jurors said Wednesday that they were surprised Hernandez’s defense team acknowledged the former player was present at the time of Odin Lloyd’s murder.
“We were all shocked by that,” one juror said according to The Globe.
The Globe also says many other jurors nodded in agreement to express shock at the defense’s admission.
