Vogel, Magic took a fun approach to their open practice

What the Orlando Magic held on their game court Saturday afternoon in front of about 1,000 fans technically was called a "practice."

But it was much more fun than a regular practice.

The team held a light scrimmage for about 30 minutes, and then it concluded by holding a brief solo concert, a 3-point shooting contest and the playground game knockout.

Coach Frank Vogel asked 20-year-old rookie center Stephen Zimmerman to sing a song by Usher and then handed Zimmerman a microphone.

Zimmerman obliged with a smile.

He even attempted to hit the high notes, prompting his teammates to laugh and clap.
