Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo has been named a finalist for the season-long 2015-16 NBA Cares Community Assist Award, league officials announced today.
Oladipo's work in the community included a visit to the Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Washington, D.C. He also hosted a holiday party for children at the UCF Listening Center, which helps families deal with hearing loss, and donated $35,000 to the center.
Oladipo's work on behalf of the hearing-impaired was inspired by one of his older sisters, Kendra Oladipo, who lost her hearing when she was in the second grade.
