Victims of terrorist attacks in France honored before Magic-Wizards game

WASHINGTON — In a gesture to honor the victims of Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris and to show solidarity, the national flag of France was brought to midcourt prior to the Orlando Magic's road game against the Washington Wizards on Saturday night at the Verizon Center.

Following a moment of silence, the arena loudspeakers also played France's national anthem before the United States' national anthem.

Teams across the NBA were expected to play France's anthem before this weekend's games.

Ten French players, including Magic swingman Evan Fournier, dotted NBA rosters at the start of the season.
