ORLANDO – It was exactly the type of game from Stanley Johnson the Pistons have been hoping to see in the 2016 Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League.
Johnson posted game-highs in points (20) and rebounds (nine) to keep the Pistons (4-0) perfect record in tact with a 71-58 victory over the previously undefeated Miami Heat (3-1) on Thursday.
The win also propelled Detroit into the Championship Game on Friday against Orlando White at noon ET.
Johnson finished the contest 7-for-13 from the field and 2-for-6 from the free throw line as he continues to work on his range and left-handed finishing at the rim.
