ORLANDO – Chad Forcier’s first Orlando Magic-affiliated coaching gig ended Friday with his Blue squad losing 85-79 to Indiana to drop its record to 1-4 in the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League.
The next time that Forcier – head coach Frank Vogel’s lead assistant with the Magic – is coaching in the fall, he will have far more talent at his disposal.
Forcier’s first day on the job with the Magic was June 23, the night that Orlando acquired shot-swatting forward Serge Ibaka in a draft-night deal. Since then, the Magic have traded for 3-point specialist Jodie Meeks and signed free agents Bismack Biyombo, Jeff Green and D.
