In the past five years, there have been a lot of long nights for the Orlando Magic after facing the Charlotte Hornets.
Among the games in the Hornets’ 11-game win streak over the Magic — and 13 of the last 14 — are a 37-point loss last year, a 40-point loss two years ago and six losses of double digits or more. As much as any team during the Magic’s long rebuild, the Hornets have been an odd team that has stymied and frustrated them.
It is not like Charlotte were world beaters in that time.
