If Kobe Bryant retires after this season, Wednesday night's game between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers likely will be remembered within Central Florida as anticlimactic.
Bryant sat out his second consecutive game because of tightness in his back.
Now 37 years old and in his 20th pro season, Bryant might retire after the season. Injuries have limited him in recent years — so much so that he hasn't played against the Magic since the Lakers won at Amway Center on March 12, 2013.
Diehard Magic fans may remember him best for leading the Lakers over the Magic in the 2009 NBA Finals in five games.
