Scout tells Locked on NBA: ‘Magic were throwing darts’ in offseason

The national perception for the Orlando Magic’s offseason is generally one of confusion.

Many liked the Orlando Magic’s core of players and felt the team took the right tact building slowly through the draft. They saw Victor Oladipo or Tobias Harris as young players still growing and with plenty of unrealized potential. The roster fit was weird, but the Magic could at least get important building blocks holding onto them just a little bit longer.

Of course, the Magic did not do that. They began a major roster transformation in February when they traded Tobias Harris for cap space.
