Scott Skiles has been described as "tough-minded" and "intense" during his previous head-coaching stops in Phoenix, Chicago and Milwaukee.
On Saturday morning, after Skiles' first full-roster practice as the Orlando Magic's new coach, guard Victor Oladipo employed a different adjective to describe Skiles' coaching style. That word was "precise."
During the two-hour, 30-minute workout, Oladipo said, Skiles and his assistant coaches covered a wide array of defensive fundamentals and schemes.
No detail seemed too small. How should Magic players position their feet when they close out on ball-handlers? What passes will the Magic be willing to give up within their defensive scheme?
