The Orlando Magic didn't give their fans much to cheer about during the first two months of the 1990-91 season. In just their second year as an NBA franchise, the expansion Magic endured difficult growing pains. The team opened the year with a 6-23 record.
But on Dec. 30, 1990, a Magic player did something no NBA player ever had done.
Point guard Scott Skiles dished out 30 assists in a 155-116 victory against the Denver Nuggets at Orlando Arena.
Skiles' feat remains an NBA single-game record. Wednesday will mark the 25th anniversary of Skiles' accomplishment.
