Changes to the Orlando Magic continued behind the scenes as president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman remakes the organization.
Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports the team dismissed its athletic training and strength training staff, firing longtime employees Keon Weise and Bill Burgos among others. With the dismissal of coach Frank Vogel and his entire coaching staff last week, that leaves only assistant coach Matt Hill and high performance director David Tenney remaining from last year’s staff.
It has been easy for fans to draw a line from this decision to the injuries that hurt the team throughout the season.
