Orlando Magic head coach Steve Clifford had a bit of a scare last March when he left a game in Minnesota with dizziness and was taken to an area hospital.
None of us at the Target Center covering the Magic vs. Timberwolves game that March 6 day even thought about coronavirus. But if the situation had taken place a few days later, the reaction across the NBA would have been wrought with assumptions, rumors and worry.
Fast-forward five days, however, and the virus took the NBA by storm. The league had its first coronavirus case March 11 when Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive.
