Postgame Report: Magic at Cavs

CLEVELAND – The Orlando Magic drove the ball with purpose or swung it from side to side to find open shooters, and defensively they helped one another to get enough stops to frustrate the Cleveland Cavaliers and their booing fans at Quicken Loans Arena.

When they did that all throughout a tide-turning third period and just enough times late in the game, the Magic were incredibly able to surge into the lead and send a scare into the slumping Cavaliers.

However, a controversial foul call on Orlando’s Shelvin Mack with 11.2 seconds remaining sent guard Isaiah Thomas to the line where he drilled two free throws that allowed Cleveland to win 104-103 and escape what would have been a monumental Magic comeback victory.
