PHILADELPHIA – Later this month, Orlando Magic coach Frank Vogel will go back to Indianapolis, Ind., the city he called home and coached for 10 years as an assistant and a head coach of the Pacers. But as far as a true homecoming for Vogel, that came on Monday and Tuesday when the Magic visited Philadelphia.
Vogel grew up in the ocean-side town of Wildwood Crest, N.J., which is 88 miles to the north and east of Philadelphia. Vogel, 43, was a big fan of all of Philly’s sports teams, namely the 76ers and the Phillies.
