MILWAUKEE — The Orlando Magic have decided to keep rookie point guard Keith Appling around at least a little bit longer.
The Magic will sign Appling to a second 10-day contract on Friday, a source with knowledge of the situation told the Orlando Sentinel. By waiting until Friday, Appling will remain on the roster through Feb. 7, when the Magic will host the Atlanta Hawks, and would be able to play that day if needed.
The Magic called up Appling from their D-League affiliate, the Erie BayHawks, and signed him to his current 10-day contract on Jan.
