The Orlando Magic and Walt Disney World announced Tuesday a new partnership which will place Disney patches, measuring approximately 2.5” by 2.5”, on Magic jerseys beginning in the 2017/18 season. As part of the agreement, jerseys featuring the Disney patch will be available for purchase at Amway Center. Additionally, Disney will “expand its presence” at Orlando’s home arena with a special hospitality seating section.
“With Orlando as our hometown, magic has always been a key strand of our DNA,” Magic CEO Alex Martins said in a press release announcing the deal. “This expanded agreement with Disney brings our story full circle and represents the coming together of two dynamic organizations that have become synonymous with Orlando.
