Orlando Magic reach deal with Jeff Green

The Orlando Magic reached a deal late Friday afternoon to add some more scoring punch, agreeing with forward Jeff Green on a one-year contract worth $15 million, an NBA source confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel.

Green averaged 11.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this past season in combined action for the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers.

It’s unclear how Green, 29, will fit into the Magic’s rotation.

It appears he will compete with Aaron Gordon for the starting small forward job or come off the bench, assuming that Serge Ibaka starts at power forward and Nikola Vucevic starts at center.
