This season may be the most must-win pressure put on a first-year coach in NBA history. If not NBA history, then almost Magic history.
There have been coaches on the hot seat as a first-year coach, but many of those coaches had an All-Star player on the roster. They had a clear upward trajectory to continue. The Orlando Magic seem to be starting from scratch, or at the very least retooling as a new coach takes the lead chair.
