WASHINGTON — Saturday's game between the Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards followed a familiar script: The Wizards erased a fourth-quarter Magic lead.
After going ahead 90-86 with 5:30 to go, the Magic surrendered eight consecutive points and lost 108-99 at the Verizon Center.
The Wizards surged because of their 3-point shooting, making 12 of their 29 attempts from beyond the arc. The damage included a trey by Kris Humphries from the right corner that put Washington ahead 92-90 with 4:45 to go. The Wizards never trailed again.
Humphries preserved the victory by sinking a wide-open trey from the top of the arc with 1:02 left, extending the Wizards' lead to 104-99.
