The Orlando Magic have won five games in a row for the first time since January 2012. There is no denying they are making some kind of progress just in the results alone.
A closer look at the game though showed exactly the kind of progress Scott Skiles and the Magic want to see. The team did not have its best defensive execution in the first half, but the team corrected all the mistakes and buckled down.
Utah shot just 30 percent in the second half. The Magic defense had a lot to do with this, challenging shots in the paint.
