Orlando Magic face a choice: Frank Vogel or Adrian Griffin

The Orlando Magic have conducted their search for Scott Skiles' successor swiftly, but team officials already should know plenty about their two leading candidates, Frank Vogel and Adrian Griffin.

Over the last six years, Vogel's Indiana Pacers ranked among the NBA's top defensive teams as they won 58 percent of their regular-season games.

Over the last year, Magic officials watched Griffin work firsthand. Griffin served as the Magic's lead assistant coach, and he earned praise for his X's-and-O's acumen.

"We're optimistic that we'll be able to find a really good coach for our team," Magic general manager Rob Hennigan said without acknowledging the candidates' names.
