The Orlando Magic will claim Chris Copeland off waivers, Sham Charania of The Vertical reports. He adds the Magic are likely to waive him in the next 24 hours.
This is a move that is largely a machination of the salary cap and not much more.
Copeland is owed $1.1 million in salary this year and then will become a free agent this summer. He has appeared in just 24 games so far this year for the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 50 points on 17-for-51 shooting and a 43.1 percent effective field goal percentage.
