SALT LAKE CITY — The Orlando Magic played consistently during their three-game homestand and the first game of their current road trip.
Energetic, sound defense generated four consecutive wins.
For most of Thursday night, however, the Magic were lackadaisical and nearly paid for it.
But the Magic regained their defensive intensity when it mattered.
With improved energy on that end of the floor, especially with keeping penetrators out of the paint, the Magic beat the Utah Jazz 103-94 at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
With the victory, the Magic won their fifth consecutive game — their first five-game winning streak since Jan.
