The Orlando Magic parted ways with Patricio Garino on Tuesday, a little more than 24 hours after waiving Marcus Georges-Hunt. The move brings Orlando’s roster to 15 players.
Garino, like Georges-Hunt, signed with Orlando in April. He played 43 minutes for Orlando across five games, going scoreless with seven rebounds.
Given the Magic’s glut of wing depth and Garino’s minimal impact when he was on the floor, it’s easy to understand why the Magic felt like they ought to move on from the Argentinian. Garino, 24, will likely have to spend more time overseas or in the NBA G-League honing his craft before he gets another shot at the NBA.
