ORLANDO – Looking for ways to make the Orlando Magic’s offense much more efficient this season, new coach Scott Skiles pinpointed two primary areas that needed dramatic improvement.
Skiles said on Thursday, following his team’s uneven 97-92 loss to the Indiana Pacers, that the Magic would never be able to play with better pace and get to the free throw line more – his two points of offensive emphasis all preseason – if it kept falling back into what he termed ``old habits.’’
``Our offense, so far, is based not only off passing but also moving and being sharp and cutting, but we have several guys who are just jogging and standing,’’ Skiles analyzed.
