Magic's Stephen Zimmerman hopes to prove himself in summer league

Devyn Marble knows exactly what Orlando Magic second-round draft pick Stephen Zimmerman will go through when Zimmerman makes his Orlando Pro Summer League debut Saturday afternoon.

Zimmerman's mind will race. He must adjust to quicker, stronger opponents than he ever faced in college and must adapt to new coaches and new teammates.

"It's just a different game: more physical, faster," Marble said. "The athletes are better. And with the 24-second shot clock, you have to make quicker decisions offensively."

Zimmerman faces a difficult adjustment.

The 6-foot-11 center spent just one year at UNLV before the Magic selected him 41st overall in the draft.
